It seems like the HRRR model was completely replaced by the RRFS, including the high resolution HRDPS and NAM models. It is possible to add these models back for the historical dates at least? The HRRR had historical data for the past 4 years which was particularly useful, for the RRFS, it only goes back to Sept. 27. Thanks.
Also HRRR is not retired yet! Can we retain that model until it is fully deprecated?

I don't remember Ventusky ever using the HRDPS model, are you sure remembered correctly? I just remember the NAM and HRRR, which were removed with the latest update.

I agree. Also the RRFS is still an experimental model that has yet to officially replace the HRRR.
We have never offered the HRDPS model. The HRRR model has been added back to our selection. RRFS is no longer an experimental model and will officially replace NAM on October 14. It will also replace HRRR in the future.

Thankyou for re-adding the HRRR. I was also wondering if it is possible to restore the integrated HRRR+ICON in the "automatic" selection when viewing historical weather before Sept. 27. Thanks.
We have switched the Auto mode back to the HRRR model. While RRFS delivers promising results and is certainly better than the older NAM model, more detailed analyses and user feedback over the past few days have shown that it does not yet outperform HRRR.
HRRR is therefore available again, including for historical data. RRFS is expected to deliver better results with version 2, scheduled for release in 2027, which should finally surpass HRRR.
However, it is very important for model comparisons and alongside HRRR, it is one of the best models for the USA.
