Issue with app freezing on startup

Dear Ventusky Team,

I would like to report an issue I am experiencing with the Ventusky app on my iPhone running iOS 18.4.
Very often, when I open the app, it gets stuck on the initial loading screen showing only the logo (please see the attached photo). When this happens, I usually have to wait almost a minute, after which the app closes automatically. After that, I can open it again and it works normally.

Could you please let me know what might be causing this problem?

Thank you for your report. That’s a strange error. Since when have you been noticing this problem, and does reinstalling the app not help? Do you have any special settings in the app or perhaps an excessive number of saved cities?

This issue has been happening for about three weeks now, maybe a bit more.

And on which layer are you keeping the application in the background? What model and layer do you have set?

Typically, this is a satellite layer and a model ICON -DE 2 km.
