Satellite Animation

Hi everyone,

Thanks for implementing the new high resolution satellite. It’s amazing!

I was wondering if it is possible to improve the animation, making it smoother and faster for example.

Sometimes, due to the jerky animation, it’s hard to clearly observe the movement of the clouds, as the animation progresses in small intervals. In my opinion, making it smoother and faster would create a seamless image without any jumps.

I don't want to use other apps as an example, but the satellite animations of “windy” and “zoom earth” give a good idea.

The animation seems to lack fluidity because it transitions between a limited number of frames, creating a “jumping” effect. This gives the impression of skipped intervals, making it harder to interpret the progression of weather patterns over time.

In comparison, apps like Windy appear to use a higher number of frames or smoother interpolation between data points, resulting in a continuous and fluid animation.

It's just my personal opinion. It probably looks nice to you even in its current state
