Imperial Units when Embedding

We are currently embedding Ventusky maps on a public-facing operational dashboard and would like to request an enhancement to the embed functionality.

Request:
Please add (or officially document and support) the ability to force imperial units when using embedded maps—specifically allowing temperature to display in degrees Fahrenheit (°F) instead of Celsius.

Why this matters:
Embedded maps are often displayed on public screens or dashboards where users cannot change settings
In U.S. contexts, Celsius creates confusion for non-technical audiences
Consistent units are important for safety, operations, and decision-making (e.g., weather-related events, campus operations)

Suggested approach:
Support a URL parameter such as:
&units=imperial
that ensures:
- Temperature → °F
- Wind → mph
- Pressure → inHg
- Precipitation → inches

This would align well with other embed-based platforms that allow explicit unit control.

We appreciate the quality of Ventusky’s visualizations and believe this enhancement would significantly improve usability for institutional and operational deployments.

We can certainly add support for that, but the units should already be set automatically based on the user’s language. If your browser language is set to EN-US, the units will be displayed in °F.

Thanks -- I thought I read that, but I'm having issues. My browser is set to EN-US, tried on a few devices as well; it works whenever I'm on the site directly...but any of the embeds I do, it doesn't seem to work and defaults to Celsius.

Please try it again. It should be fine now - set according to the user’s language.
