Replaced By Real Data?

I have a question about past data shown.
I went into the past to look at Hurricane Ian.
When I changed the models, the storm moved.
Is the past replaced by real data, or is there anyway to view real data, or can you only see the predictions of the models?

Radar and satellite layers are always about real data. For other layers, it is station data combined with model data.
