New price for premium is 4 times higher!

The new price for a year subscription is 4 times higher than in recent years! Why so expensive? I can understand 50% increase, even 100% increase, but 400%? Way too much!

Thank you for your interest in our app. The application has been gradually expanding, and with that, the price has increased as well. We try to keep the original price for existing customers for as long as possible.

Currently, the price for Premium ranges from $10 to $20 per year, depending on when the subscription was purchased and on local fees and taxes. If you bought it earlier and have never canceled it, you may still have the discounted price of $10 per year.

Eight years ago, the price was only about $4 per year, but we no longer offer those rates, as they are no longer able to cover our costs. There was no price change for this rate a full 8 years, so while the increase may seem large in percentage terms, in absolute numbers it is still a standard amount.

If you use Ventusky as rescue workers or as an educational institution, please contact us and we we can provide you a voucher for a free subscription.

Hello. I have been subscribing ventusky for 4 years. The price was 18,99 PLN, now I have to agree to 69,99 PLN (this price is shown to me on the google play store). Is this the discount you've mentioned? $10 should be about 36 PLN, not 70 PLN.
So can I have the $10 price somehow, please?

Thank you for the clarification. In Poland, VAT (23%) is added to the price. If you have had your subscription for 4 years, the price is 69.99 PLN or 59.99 PLN depending on the exact date of purchase — we slightly extended the date range today so that more subscriptions qualify for the lower price. Has your price decreased? 79.99 PLN is the price for new subscriptions in Poland.

Unfortunately, prices in these countries are subject to relatively high taxes — essentially, about a quarter of the amount goes directly to the state, and we do not receive any of it. Another quarter goes to Google, so essentially only half of the amount actually goes toward development.

Thank you. No, the price is still 69,99 PLN, perhaps it will change over a few days. My subscription started in July 2022.
By the way, ventusky is a great app really. It would be a great loss for me to drop the subscription.

Good app, for sure, but to find out by accident the price has gone up from €6,99 to something like €20 is not funny. Goodbye.

All price changes must be approved manually by you. Without the customer’s knowledge, the price will not change automatically — the subscription will simply end instead. We send information about the price change to all customers via Google Play by email, and it should also appear in the app.

I have been in some of the most brutal rain because your app said it is NOT going to rain. Now you ask me 4 times more???!!!

We are of course sorry that the forecast did not turn out as expected. However, Ventusky is a visualization platform that processes data from dozens of sources, many of which are among the best in the world. Ultimately, this reflects the fact that a forecast is always only a forecast.
