Add Meteograms – Suggestion for Further Development
I'm very glad Ventusky exists as an alternative to Windy, since I have serious ethical concerns regarding Ivo Lukačovič and prefer not to support him.
To make the app practically usable, I’d like to ask you to improve the support for meteograms with better user-friendliness. It seems that currently, the app only supports meteograms for the GFS model.

Suggestion: Development Plan for the App

Step One: Add support for hourly meteograms not only for GFS but also for all other models
- Implementing this is relatively simple because the application already has access to API data needed to generate meteograms. It’s not a lot of work for a programmer.
- To make things easier for the programmer, switching between different weather models for meteograms should continue to be done via the map interface.

Step Two: Work on improving the design and user-friendliness of meteograms
- Get inspired by competing apps.
- Display meteograms not just for one day, but for several days ahead on a single view.
- Improve the graphics.
- Visually highlight daily minimum and maximum temperatures.
- It might be a good idea to completely redesign the hourly meteogram section.

Add hourly meteograms to the website as well, not just the app.

Som veľmi rád, že existuje Ventusky ako alternatíva k Windy nakoľko mám vážne etické výhrady k Ivovi Lukačovičovi a nechcem ho podporovať.
Aby sa dala aplikácia prakticky používať, rád by som Vás požiadal, aby ste pridali aj lepšiu podporu meteogramov s lepšou užívateľskou prívetivosťou.
Zdá sa, že aktuálne aplikácia podporuje len meteogram pre GFS model.

Návrh: Plán pre vývoj aplikácie

Krok prvý: Pridať podporu hodinových meteogramov nielen pre GFS ale aj pre všetky ostatné modely
• Zrealizovať takéto niečo je relatívne jednoduché, pretože prístup ku API dátam, ktoré sú potrebné na vytváranie meteogramov už v aplikácii máte. Pre programátora to nie je veľa práce
• aby mal programátor menej práce, tak prepínať medzi jednotlivými modelmi počasia na meteograme sa aj naďalej bude cez rozhranie mapy

Krok druhý: Pracovať na vylepšení a lepšej užívateľskej prívetivosti meteogramov
• inšpirovať sa konkurenčnými aplikáciami
• meteogram nielen pre jeden deň ale aj viacero dní dopredu na jednej strane
• vylepšenie grafiky
• grafické zvýraznenie deného minima a denného maxima čo do teploty
• možno by nebolo zlé kompletné prebudovanie celej sekcie hodinových meteogramov
• pridať hodinové meteogramy aj na webstránku, nielen aplikáciu

Just out of curiosity, why you prefer to not support him?

Michele7: Ivo Lukačovič owns part of the media market in the Czech Republic. The media he owns spreads utterly insane disinformation about Slovakia. I am involved in civic activism and do fact-checking of the propaganda from his media outlets. Lukačovič is a chauvinist obsessed with Slovakia; he is fixated on portraying Slovakia negatively. After thorough analysis, I have concluded that Lukačovič is a neo-Nazi who considers the Slovak nation inferior.

Thank you for the suggestions. Further improvements to the graphs definitely make sense. Currently, we primarily offer graphs in the iOS and Android apps. Have you tried them there? The selection on the website is indeed much more limited, but in the app, you can combine different layers. At the moment, it's not yet possible to switch between models, but that's something we plan to work on in the future.

Dear developers, thank you very much for your reply. And thank you for your willingness and commitment to continue developing the application. It took me quite a while to find all four types of graphical interfaces for the hourly weather forecast, and the hourly meteogram is one of them. In the default graphical interface (map version), I have the ALADIN model selected, but when I switched to one of the other graphical interfaces, the model shown was ICON 7 km, even though I would have expected the ALADIN model to appear there. For the meteogram, it’s unclear which model was used for the forecast. It would be helpful if it displayed which model the meteogram was generated from—whether it was ALADIN, ICON, or another. I believe the next update will resolve these shortcomings so that each graphical forecast interface supports all available models, not just ICON.

Очень полезно было почитать форум. Оказывается действительно метеограммы отображаются только для одной модели. Этот не моё искажённое восприятие. На карте стуация при переключении модели меняется, а на метеограмме нет.

Hi, +1 to this request. Not being able to select aladin (or switch models in general) for the meteogram and the hourly forcast in the ios app is what's making me stay with Windy.

I completely agree with Pavol. The fact that I don't know which model the meteogram takes its data from is one of the reasons why I use a competitor's app, even though I have your paid version. The inability to choose the model for the meteogram is a great pity. Often, the data in the meteogram does not match the graphical outputs on the maps. And yet I prefer your app. Please do something about this so that I can finally use it to its full potential
