How do I remove a reference location on my PC. On the app I can 'delete' by swiping to the right but this functionality does not exist on my PC.

There is a star icon in the upper right corner of the detailed forecast for the location. You can either enable or disbale the location as a favourite one.
I can not remove reference from the dropdown list of my favorite locations by this way.
Is there is a way to do it?

No, it is just a hint, not favorite location.
