Inaccuracy

I’ve loved this app since I discovered it 4 years ago, but lately it’s been extremely inconsistent. For example, right now it’s pouring rain and lightning like crazy. The radar shows lightning and the heavy rain yet on the hourly scroll bar with the weather icon indicators it shows a 10% chance of rain w/ the little sun and one rain drop. And shows 10 min from now it’s sunny even though on the radar it shows a ton more rain incoming. Makes no sense. The radar has also become extremely inconsistent with its accuracy for current and future weather. Dare I say I am relying more on the weather channel app lately than Ventusky!

The data sources remain exactly the same, and there is no alternative radar available for the United States, so this cannot be an issue on Ventusky's side. The U.S. uses weather radar network called NEXRAD, and we display its current data accurately.

Forecasts, of course, always depend on the specific weather situation and the forecast model selected. We are continuously expanding the range of available models rather than reducing it, so any differences you have noticed are most likely just coincidental.
