Premium is meant to give latest data, it doesn't seem any different to free version. I can never get up to date model runs. For example, it is 0900 on 25/8/25. ECMWF has model run of 1800 on 24/8/24 next update at 25/8/25 0000. I would expect to have 0600 by now. For ICON EU which is every 3 hours, What does (next update 0600 UTC - prepare mean). At what time can I expect to see the 0600 data.
User 660420179 The ECMWF model will undergo a major update this autumn regarding its data policy and update frequency. By the end of autumn, this will also bring significant changes to its availability on Ventusky. In general, when a model update is listed at, for example, 00 UTC, it means that the model’s computation started at that time. For global models, the calculation itself can take up to 6 hours. We always download the latest data, but even on our side, processing them takes several tens of minutes. ICON EU now has new data from model run 06:00 UTC. The 09:00 UTC run is currently being processed and will be available shortly.
Ventusky So at the moment, you cannot change the ECMWF resolution from 22 km to 9 km? Do we need to wait for new ECMWF data sets? Because I have seen that some other websites already use the ECMWF high-resolution (9 km) version. Thank you
Michele7 We looked into it more closely and in theory it could be available within a few weeks (but we’re not promising anything ). We’re preparing a major update, so we’ll see if it makes it in.
I'm using a PC, and all cities have vanished; unless I zoom in completely. Most of the controls mentioned is discussions seem to be for apps on phones or pads. How do I display cities again?
