How do you decide which model to use for precipitation forecast specifically?
When the model is on automatic, how does it work?
Also looking at past days, the precipitation amount is different for GFS or EC model: it should be straightforward no?
do You benchmark model on their recent performances?

In the settings, you can configure the automatic model blending. It is listed there as one of the options.

The history is based on the latest model run, so it does not always reflect the actual conditions. Measurements are not available everywhere either, so there is no fully reliable alternative. To view the actual past conditions, please use the Radar layer.
