TOP 5 Custom Radar Color Scales
Radar is one of the most frequently used layers in Ventusky, and colors play an important role in how quickly you can recognize precipitation intensity. Some users prefer traditional weather radar colors, while others want stronger contrast, a simpler palette, or a completely different visual style.
With custom color scales in Ventusky, you can adjust colors, opacity and individual reflectivity levels to create a radar map that suits you. To get you started, we have prepared several ready-to-use scales. Simply copy the scale code below and paste it into Settings using the Import Scale button. The scales shown are in dBZ. When importing them, make sure your units are also set to dBZ.
Ventusky Original
Our familiar Ventusky radar scale, balancing good readability with smooth transitions from light precipitation to intense storms.

You will always get this scale by default. To restore it, simply click Restore Default in the Scale Settings.
NOAA Classic
Inspired by traditional U.S. radar products, with the familiar progression from blue and green through yellow and red to purple.
