Ventusky brand design refresh
Ventusky celebrates its eighth anniversary in June. Over the past 8 years, Ventusky has become a globally popular tool for displaying meteorological data. Millions of people follow our forecasts monthly, both on the web and in our Android and iOS applications. To mark this occasion, we are introducing a new look for our brand.
The brand refresh has touched literally every aspect of our identity. The primary change is the logotype itself. Refined and bold at same time, it reflects our determination to constantly improve and face the future challenges. While heavily reworked, the logo still respects the heritage of the brand that brought us through the successful years.
The "V" symbol, derived from the first letter of the Latin word "Ventus" (which means wind), represents the connection between wind and the color of the sky, which is the core essence of our service. The name Ventusky, is a combination of the words "ventus" and "sky". This concept is also reflected in the new blue color that dominates our website and new icons, including the timeline and applications for Android and iOS.
We are sure the new icon of the mobile app will make it easier to find the only weather app you need for your everyday activities. It is closely connected with the logotype and carries both the distinctive symbol and new color palette.
The "New Blue" has already been implemented into the visual language of the app and website and we will continue with other elements in the coming days. This also means a new style of advertisements and other branded content. There's a lot of fresh designs coming your way, and we dearly hope you will like it!
