Ventusky now offers the ECMWF model in high resolution with hourly forecast steps

Ventusky introduces a major new update — full-resolution ECMWF data at 9 km with time steps as short as one hour. This significantly increases the accuracy of all displayed meteorological parameters, whether it’s temperature, precipitation, wind, or pressure fields. For users, this means more detailed forecasts, smoother weather development, and far better planning capabilities.

This update also elevates Ventusky to the very top of the global weather-visualization field — it now offers data from all major and most accurate forecasting models worldwide. The integration of ECMWF is a milestone, as this model is used by meteorologists, airlines, governmental agencies, and experts across the globe. Combined with a wide selection of other regional and global models such as ICON, GFS, KMA, and GEM, Ventusky now provides a truly complete model portfolio. ECMWF on Ventusky is updated four times a day, and the availability of hourly steps in the early forecast period offers an exceptionally strong foundation for more precise and reliable outlooks.

The new data is available to all users for free and without ads, currently on the web version of Ventusky. We are already working on integrating ECMWF into our mobile apps — it will appear in the upcoming update.
